New Smyrna possesses a distinct hometown quality reflected in its cracker architecture, lush tropic landscape and community. The area is 32 square miles and its population is 22,000. Located at the mouth of the Ponce de Leon Inlet, New Smyrna Beach serves as the gateway to the historic and picturesque Indian River Intracoastal Waterway and 13 miles of Atlantic Coast beach.
